Admission Requirements

Any adult whose high school class has graduated is eligible to apply for admission to the University Center of Southern Oklahoma. Students taking classes at the University Center must meet the admission requirements of the participating institution teaching the class.  Students should check with advisors and/or consult the admission requirements of the participating institutions for more information.

First Time Students

All students enrolling in college for the first time should enroll with Murray State College at UC.  All first time college students without an ACT score of 19 or above MUST take the entry-level assessment test before enrolling in Murray State College classes at UC. 
A student may be admitted provisionally, as a degree seeking student, special student, concurrent high school student or transfer student.

Items needed for Admission

  • A high school transcript or GED
  • A copy of ACT test results (or entry-level assessment test)
  • All previous college transcripts

Transfer of Credits

The University Center of Southern Oklahoma provides residence credit offered from East Central University (ECU), Murray State College (MSC), and Southeastern Oklahoma State University (SE).  All credit earned meets residence requirements and is TRANSFERRABLE TO ANY STATE INSTITUTION, subject to the course and program requirements of the receiving institution.
