The new campus will occupy 80 acres of property adjacent to the Ardmore City Schools property where the main University Center facilities are currently located. This property has been provided through private funding.
The first phase of the new campus will include the construction of a 49,000 sq. ft. Health, Science & Math Building at a cost of $17,500,000. This building will include four science laboratories and two nursing skills laboratories in addition to numerous multimedia and interactive television classrooms.
The Health, Science & Math Center will house the ECU Bachelor of Nursing program, the MSC science department at Ardmore, and the MSC math program at Ardmore. Together, these three programs employ eight to ten full-time faculty and numerous adjunct faculty and offer over 200 courses per year in Ardmore
Capital Campaign: Facilities Construction
Construction of Phase 1 is planned to begin in Fall 2013 and will be completed in 16-18 months. The construction of the new facility would allow the University Center to consolidate the ECU Nursing Program and the MSC Science and Math programs in the new facility. The goal is $17,500,000 including the University Center’s direct contribution to the project.
Capital Campaign: Facilities Endowment
On-going maintenance costs of the new facilities will be supported by the Facilities Endowment. The endowment is currently valued at approximately $900,000. The goal is increasing the endowment value to $1.2 million.
